When the film "Back to the Future" production team learned that Nike released the 2011 NIKE MAG shoes to support the Fox Foundation, they also presented an unexpected gift. Film marquee Frank Marshall took part and planned and produced a “Lost Episode” short film to pay tribute to the “Back to the Future” movie and characters. “Lost Episode” demonstrated Dr. Brown’s efforts to make Marty adapt to the 2015 visit.

In the short film, actors Christopher Lloyd and Daniel Fullilove in the original movie once again played their favorite roles. Actress Bill Hader and basketball star Kevin Durant made guest appearances in the film for shop assistants and customers. Niker MAG original shoe designer, the current vice president of Nike design, but also the 2011 NIKE MAG project leader Tinker Hatfield played the role of sales manager. In the film Hatfield told Lloyd landing wrong year, his NIKE MAG shoes with the automatic locking function for Marty McFly only to 2015. This short film was produced in conjunction with Wieden + Kennedy and is available in 60 seconds, 90 seconds and 2 minutes.
