On September 9th, the Italian (China) Footwear Chamber of Commerce held its second executive council meeting for the first time. President Xiang Jinguang welcomed the newly joined members, including Lin Chengquan from Roman Olivia Footwear Company, and expressed gratitude for their commitment to the chamber. He then shared updates on recent collaborations with footwear associations in France and Spain.
President Xiang recalled that the inaugural ceremony of the Chinese Footwear Association’s first council session took place in Paris on August 28. He and a delegation from the Italian (China) Footwear Chamber of Commerce were honored to attend the event. The first standing deputy chairperson Weng Yulie, Director Guan Xuan, Executive Vice President Hu Yiping, and other members were present. During the gathering, they engaged in discussions with the French Footwear Association and local companies about the current state of the market and future development strategies. Xiang noted that the French counterparts demonstrated excellent organization and strong community integration, which he believes offers valuable lessons for the Italian (China) Footwear Chamber of Commerce.
On September 2nd, President Xiang Jinguang, along with the first executive deputy president Weng Yulie, Director Guan Yu, Executive Vice President Hu Yiping, and five others, visited Spain. They conducted field research on the local footwear market and met with the Spanish Footwear Chamber of Commerce and regional shoe manufacturers. These exchanges provided insights into business conditions and trade dynamics between the two regions.
Xiang emphasized that through these visits, the chamber gained deeper understanding of the global footwear industry and boosted confidence among member companies. Although challenges remain, the outlook is positive. He pointed out that the establishment of footwear associations in Spain, France, and Italy has created a solid platform for growth. It is crucial to maintain good relationships among different regions, promote horizontal cooperation, build a harmonious market environment, and work together toward a brighter future for the industry.
Weng Yulie, the first executive vice president, highlighted the importance of strengthening ties between the three chambers of commerce. He stated that these collaborations have fostered unity and helped prevent unfair competition. He encouraged all members to actively contribute their ideas and support the chamber’s ongoing efforts to serve the industry effectively.
